A constantly evolving company
Idromeccanica Lucchini was not satisfied with its achievements and in 2023 continued to strengthen its commitment to sustainability by pursuing the EcoVadis principles of sustainability, energy saving and corporate training.
Plastic-free company
Idromeccanica Lucchini decided to eliminate plastic cups and bottles in favor of water dispensers. The company equipped all its employees with reusable thermal bottles, personalized with company logo and employee name. Also, Idromeccanica Lucchini provides its visitors with recycled paper cups. All this leads to a more conscious consumption of water. In addition to its own internal workforce, external partners are also involved in these procedures by signing an integrity pact on sustainability issues.
Less waste of paper
Paper is also a valuable resource that should not be wasted. For this reason, Idromeccanica Lucchini replaced paper business cards with digital ones and implemented digitised documents and procedures.
EcoVadis: a challenge of social responsibility
Awareness comes through knowledge. This is why Idromeccanica Lucchini has introduced training courses on sustainability issues rewarding the most virtuous personnel.
For dedicated information, special monitors have been set up at access points to the company, displaying data on the reduction of emissions and energy savings achieved thanks to the virtuous behaviour of employees.
Achievements
Thanks to everyone's contribution, a significant reduction in energy consumption was recorded from January to April. A 380 kW solar panel system has saved 273 tons of CO2. Young people are naturally perceived as more innovative and more interested in sustainability issues. For this reason, Idromeccanica Lucchini supports and welcomes university students who want to develop specific projects through their graduation thesis.
