There is a time, every two years, when technical horticulture stops being just a set of solutions and becomes a living, thinking, collaborative ecosystem. Technical Horticulture in the Field is this: not a classic trade show, but a place of convergence where the supply chain meets, compares and grows together.
From January 20 to 22, the 2026 edition of the free international event dedicated to professional horticulture was held in Guidizzolo (Mantua) at Ferrari Growtech. Guiding theme: “Agrintelligence – the intelligence that cultivates the future.” A title that speaks not only of artificial intelligence, but of systemic, shared, cooperative intelligence.
An idea born 30 years ago – the first of its kind in Italy – from the shared vision of Idromeccanica Lucchini, Ferrari Growtech, Forigo and Gremizzi: an innovative network model created by companies for companies, deeply B2B, but also able to attract students, technicians, researchers and international operators. Today that vision is more relevant than ever.
An event that works because it is synergistic
The strength of Technical Horticulture in the Field has remained intact over the years: cooperation among enterprises. Not dry competition, but agritech“coopetition”: a horizontal model in which collaboration generates value for all.
And this year’s numbers prove it more than ever: more than 5,000 visitors in attendance and 54 exhibiting companies.
The entire event was extraordinarily well attended, a sign that the horizon charted is the right one: building hardware for an industry that increasingly wants to meet live to share knowledge and passions.
An immersive experience, from field to thought
Technical Horticulture in the Field is a living event. The layout itself is designed not to disperse, but to guide:
- Booth area in the first part of the route;
- lanes dedicated to field trials, the true heart of the event;
- In-depth technical afternoon seminars.
Every morning 47 agricultural machines in operation in the field, with a new demonstration every 4 minutes-a fast-paced but effective pace for farmers to observe, compare, understand. All in one place, without dispersion. A tremendous value, especially for those who work in the field every day.
The three days were marked by as many sub-themes:
- Essence
- Shift
- Balance
A conceptual journey that accompanies the evolution of the sector: from the essence of agronomic practices, to technological change, to the search for balance between productivity, sustainability and energy.

Lucchini: co-founder, protagonist, catalyst
For Idromeccanica Lucchini, Orticoltura Tecnica in Campo is a piece of its heart, an event that has been felt, built, and shared since its inception. It is no coincidence, then, that Lucchini was the only company present with two booths:
- Institutional booth, with focus on irrigation and several tangible models of application solutions;
- Dedicated agrivoltaic booth, reflecting a growing commitment to energy integration and sustainability.
The feedback from visitors was overwhelmingly positive: customers, partners and new contacts appreciated the clarity, concreteness and vision.
Complementing the attendance are two seminars curated by Lucchini:
- one dedicated toagrivoltaic;
- one focused onirrigation.
Two strategic opportunities to summarize the work done over the past year, around the issues in which the company has invested with greater intensity and conviction.
A look that goes beyond borders
As our Nicola Ravelli told us, it is an event that is not visited: it is experienced. And it is precisely this shared experience that makes the difference.
Guidizzolo’s strategic location and the uniqueness of the format make this network model increasingly attractive even beyond national borders.
If already in 2024 a strong international attention had been perceived, in 2026 the trend was consolidated, with an even more significant foreign presence; helped and “pampered” by the multilingual simultaneous translation service for all seminars. Global patrons actively participated in all three days of the event, increasingly becoming a central element of Horticulture Tecnica in Campo.
Cultivating the future, together
Thirty years after its inception, Technical Horticulture in the Field continues to prove that innovation is not just technology, but relationship, common vision and collective intelligence.
In an industry facing complex challenges-climate, energy, production-the most robust response remains a systemic one. And this is where Lucchini continues to position itself: at the center of a network that collaborates, experiments and grows.
Because, as always, when you gain together, you gain more. And the future, in this way, is really cultivated.
